Hi all, I'm new to clown loaches and i'm thinking of getting one. Just curious about 2 things about them. What is their growth rate and do i have to feed them or i can just leave them to have the left overs in the tank?

SLOW. And they should be given a decent food source, and hopefully kept in a tank where they aren't outcompeted for food all the time, especially when young.
And your should really get a shoal to enjoy their true behavior. Although they grow slow, they get can get quite massive with years so keep that in mind.
They grow real slow as said but you should get at least 5. They also love real clean water and eat lots of if given the chance. Awesome fish though
Yes, If you plan on getting ONE, make sure you get at least 4. They do better in shoals. And if you just buy one, don't be surprised if it dies from stress.

i have small CLs that grew 1.5-2" in a year, but growth slowed down to a crawl once they hit 6"
I feed my CL daily with NLS thera A+, plus a few superworms that my aros leaves behind.
a group of CL are great as a clean up crew for aros, but i would recommend daily feedings still. skinny clowns are quite ugly.
