can easily reach that in the first several months. depends on how big they are when you get them, conditions you keep them in, and what you are feeding them. if they are starting at 20cm they can shoot up to 40cm probably in a couple months give or take (again, depends on the conditions you keep them in). growth is rapid in YOY gars at that size, but if they are yearlings it will be somewhat slower--

I'm not sure what age it is, it's about 20-25 cm. I want it to grow as quickly as possible to about 40 cm so I can let it be with my alligator gar.
