My new EBJD has grown from 2" to 2 1/2" in about 6 weeks. Is this normal growth or slow like I think? He/she is in a 22 gal tank, with a few Endlers as dithers, and I feed it 3-4 times a day, all high quality dry foods. Am I doing OK? I am a discus and angel keeper, EBJD is new for me. I want to keep it healthy and full grown someday.

You are doing pretty good if they are growing that fast, Mine have only grown about a inch to 1.5" in 3 months. this is a pic the day I got them and one about a week ago.. They have become very beautiful and colored up nice but they are slow growers, Not like regular Jacks.
Not even close... They will grow about 40% as fast as a regular jack does.. I purchased my electric blue and my regular jacks in the same week at the same size, I had the regular jacks in a 29 gal. and the blues in a 55 grow out tank. I just sold the regular jack's back to my lfs because they were about 3 times the size of my ebjd's... And I want my ebjd's to be a lot bigger then the regular jack before I put them in their 240 gal so they don't get picked on.. They will grow to be as big as the regular jacks it just takes a lot longer to do it and they are not as aggressive as the regular jacks!!!!!
Usually slower growth rate but some can grow pretty quick I got one at an inch four weeks ago now it's over 2. Depends on the genes I bet
