Growth Rate of GT?

I was just wondering how long it takes for them to hit like 6" because the one I used to have didnt grow fast at all, but my friend has 4 of them and they are growing really fast. He is going to try to breed them but they only pair up when they are like 6" right. I just wanted to know how long it was going to take to get a pair? Thanks

I have had this guy about a year. He is about 7" now, bought as a juvie from Petsmart at 2".

He grew steadily to 5" and slowed down. He's had a nice growth spurt of late because I have started doing more water changes and feeding. I feed every other day. I have 4 tanks, so call me lazy.

my GT was about 2 inches when I got him 5 months ago and he is around 6 inches now, he grew really quickly now he is just thickining up.

I hope mine gets a growth spurt soon. had him 3 months now and it barley grew an inch.

If you want him to grow fast, forget the feeders feed proteins and do lots of water changes. Mine grows slow cause I don't do a lot of wate changes...

i got a 2 inch GT 2 days ago, can't wait until he looks like quattroatl's, will a 6 inch GT be OK in a 30 gallon by him self?? he is not in there at the moment, only cos i like him so much and my 30 gallon in my room so i can see him a lot more? (he's in my 60 at pres)
