Hello, I was wondering about it. Saw a baby one approximately 3inches long being sold in my favourite aquarium, I think it is a SA lungfish with its golden speckled body. I intend to buy him after my 10 gallon tank has settled. I have variously other bigger tanks up to one 4x2x2 ft tank which houses some large endi bichirs and an odoe pike. I have read that the SA lung is generally more docile and can cohabit with tankmates, i wonder if that includes other bottom ground dwelling fishes. What are its growth rate? and how long does it takes to get to full size, being very long lived animals, i assume that it would take more than 3 years to get to full size?

They are the fastest growers, but i had one and it grew about 0.5" per month un till it disapeared.
