About how fast do they grow? Ive had mine for some months now and its only slightly bigger about 1 inch

they grow fast till 8'' then they get fatter then they get longer again mine grew from 3'' to 8'' in about 6 months then its takes a year or so for them to get over 10''
a few mths and only an inch?
thats hard to believe.
i got mine at 1 inch and they are about 5-6 inchs now.
except for the shortbody.
they usually grow 1-2 inches a mth.

Some grow fast some grow slow there are many contributing factors food, water conditions and yes genetics-Anne
my 2 seng are are growing at diffrent rates i got them about 6 months ago and one is around 7.5" and the other is like 5" so it realy depends on the fish but try shrimp pellets mine seem to have grown more since i got them on the shrimp and they love it
i find that when they are really small it is sometimes hard to get them to eat as much as they should, but once they hit around 3-4" they eat more food and if you can get them on quarantined feeders, earthworms and some other live foods along with a lot of frozen foods and a little bit of pellets, they really start to take off.
My 1st senegal grew about 2.5" in less then a month, my current one has grown about .5" in a little over a month, but is starting to get to the point where he is showing some growth.
Once senegal's growth take off you can see it at an almost weekly basis.
