Growth rate on indos!

I'm relatively new to dats and don't know a whole lot about them other then max size and water reqs... I might be having a friends who's vacationing in Fl for the week drive me back a pair of indos from NE Cichlids... they are about 3" and was just wondering what kind of monthly growth rate I might expect... I have been told that they are already accepting pellets...

I have heard that the first 6 inches are pretty quick. My thin bar grew from 4 to 8.5 inch in about a year and a half. But I heard they slow down from there. Indos may be faster since they get larger then thin bars. Also depends on what size tank they are in, water cahnges, and quantity/quality of food

I think you'll find the growth to be relatively slow compared with other fish.

man, I wanted to get a couple but I don't think they'd keep up with my other fish and that could turn out bad... thanX for all the replies though

I know, but if you've got the paitence they are worth it. Just to see your investment grow.

if you have 5yrs to lose then buy 1inch tigers they should be 12inch in 5yrs
