growth rate

My aro grew like crazy up to a foot (more than an inch per month), then it stopped eating as much, then it got killed.
 
My Jard 14-15'' and i got it close to a year!! he was already 4'' long when i got him!! :D
 
I've received conflicting information about how big a jardini can grow. There's a 6 inch jardini at my lfs, and I am interested in puttin him in with my dats until i can get a bigger tank ( i have a 125 gal. ). My questions are how big do they get in captivity, will they get along with dats that are too big to fit in it's mouth, and is a 125 big enough for a single jardini?
 
what are your thoughts on how big they get and if it's ok to put them in a 125 with all open water at the top.
 
I doubt that a 125 would work, depending on the demensions they wouldnt be able to turn around very well. They arent as flexible as silvers.
 
I've had my silver for almost a year. When I first got her she was about 4.5 inches. Now she's pushing 16-17 inches, so an inch a month sounds pretty good...
