How fast does a Blue Acara and a Gold Severum grow , they are currently both a about 1inch long in a 2 foot tank on there own , i am wanting to put them both in my Oscar tank when the are big enough but i am not sure how long it would be until they woiuld be bigger enough to do that as i think if i put them in now they will just get eaten .

Fish in the tank i would like to put them in are ~

1x 6inch Giant Red Finned Gourami
2x 2.5inch and 4inch Oscar
2x 6inch and 12inch Commoon Pleco .

Severum are kinda slow growers, by the first year the oscar could be 9 to 11 inch and the severum grew only 1 to 2 inch. how big is the biggest tank you got right now?

i can tell you that the acara will grow fast and will need bigger than a 2ft tank well within a year if kept properly. i estimate 6 months at most but probably shorter. mine grew from 1" to a now ~4"+ in a matter of 4 months (wont hold still for the tape measure). gold severum grow a little slower but not by much, expect 4" in around 6 months - 8 months roughly.
you will not get a year out of a 2ft tank housing both of them. the acara will no doubt outgrow the sev and possibly bully it in such a small tank. you should know that most acaras will take any opportunity to bully other fish, but this is dependant on the individual fishes personality.
the above info is from experience and not anything i have read.

I have an empty 4foot tank they can both go in when there are both ready to be moved , i dont want to put them in with my other fish until they are big enough to fight back and not get eaten .
