Growth Rate?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
1in. a month is on target unless you crank up temp to 88 and overfeed

1" is normal growth for bass. However you can get maximum growth if you raise your temps up to 86-89 degrees, feed them well, water changes, and by keeping the water clean. You can get 1.5"-2".

I have had my fish for 6 months and they have only grown about 2 inches.. This is because I dont feed them everyday and the temp in my tank stays around 78-80... I like it this way because I can't set up my bigger tank yet so I'm buying time :( in case you were wondering how to keep them small-- this is just my story I have little experience

I'm in the same boat but my water temp is 86 but I feel like if I cut down the feeding that should work I want them healthy but the longer 4 Ocells could stay In my 55 the better I wanna make sure I get the best set up for the move right now there only at 2 1/2 to 3 inches. Mine eat bloodworms like 4 times a day lol what should I cut down to that is a safe level for them?

problem is with your water temp. that high their metabolism will speed up and if you cut back on feeding it will cause them to be malnourished.. need to drop temp and cut back feeding together

Thanks tampa. I got 2 new ones coming in Friday so Ill keep it like that for a while and slowly drop off temp & food together in the coming weeks.
