Growth Rate

I bough a 1-2in black ghost knife and the is about 4-5 now. He grew to the present size in like 2weeks but hasnt grown in lik 2 months is this a normal accuracne?

they're slow growers.. that much growth in 2 weeks in insanely fast for any fish

I have mine bought at 4" for 2 months already. It has grown only about 1"

maybe it had some rtc genes.. haha kiddin. they grow super slow.. as in even Fh/ Datnoids or any other slow growin fish would overtake then.. i learned that the hard way.. finding my ol Ghost's tail sticking out of my aros mouth.. stoopid me.

Try power feeding your ghost knife, putting heater also helps digest food faster which increases thier metabolism. I bouht my ghost knife last oct 2006 which is 3 inches, he's currently a 10 incher bgk.

BGK's barely grow man...unless u feed them meaty food. that usually speeds up the growth hormones in their body. good luck
