what would be the growth rates of ornates and endlies?
is there a good way to boost their growth rates?

For every Bichir it's a different story....Some grow quickly some grow slowly and it varies between species.....

However, Warmer Water, LOTS of WC 50%+ and two feedings of Massivore and Quarentined Guppies/Mollies/Platys/Convicts (Avoid goldfish and flathead/rosie red minnows) is a good way to "bulk" up Bichirs

Agreed, fish with good genes can show 1 -2 inches per month in the active growth phase, once they transition to thier secondary growth phase you will see slower rates varying from 1/2 inch to 2 inches per year.
Typically both will end the active growth phase in 12 months.

That being said, lots of variables and lots of different results, just my experiance and thoughts.

overfeed them with high protein and varied meals

All fish food is realtivly high protien....And NEVER Overfeed, Ammonia and Nitrates could jump to poor levels....Only feed as much as they'll eat within 5min and do it twice a day....But yes WC of 50%+ 1-3 times a week

tank space, water changes of 50% a week is good enough,84F-86F(to raise metabolism) and varied diet of high protein food but in my experience varied diet is the key to fast growth and waterchanges
