roughly about how fast do clown loaches grow?

i was considering getting a school of 5 for the 75 gallon. i do know in time i would have to get bigger tank or find a new home for them. but how much time?

I want to grow out some 1.5 to 2 inchers before i get some of my larger fish eaters ^_^

otherwise if they get too big too fast what would be a better loach to live with the smaller species of polypterus (i havent made up my mind on the species yet)

thanks,
Ashley

i also forgot to mention i was planing on an electric blue JD.
I remember being told they are less aggressive than the regular JDs. i just dont want to have a bad combo of fish ^_^

I have about 12 baby clowns in a 29 gallon with a pleco, some gouramis,a betta, some yoyo loaches, and some giant danios. In 3 months, they have all doubled in size.

I am going to move the clowns to a 90 gallon with the gouramis. They grow fast if you feed them right. The yoyos in the same time have almost tripled in size though.

I give mine shrimp pellets, zuccini, large chilid pellets, and peas. the odd cocktail shrimp gets toseed in there too

Clowns usually reach about 4" in a year
