Growth?

Over a month ago on a regular trip to a local fish store I got into a conversation with a sales person. I noticed a small beatup Firemouth in a 10 gallon mixed with bunch of small Jack Dempseys, the guy told me that the Firemouth is there for some time now and no one wants to buy it and I felt bad for the guy and got him.

Because of the size I dropped him into a 30 breeder with bunch of Gouramies and Tetras, the little guy is under an inch and did not grow at all! Eats like a pig, full color, no growth. Anyone knows what's happening?

My firemouths have been slow growers.

do you know how old it is? does it look like a juvi? ... when fish get put into a high populated "comm tank" then their growth can get suspended. I think they only get to about 6 inches.. so I would guess they are slow growers, not that big on them

As long as he's healthy and eating like a pig, just let him be, he will come good in time
