Do shovel nose tiger catfish grow as fast as redtails? And r they as crazy of eaters as the redtails catfish are?

helpful hint to the newer user.....
alot of people on here won't answer basic questions. ALWAYS try to find out the answer to your questions thru already existing threads before you start one. no one has answered you because the sticky noted threads have this info and so does about 20 other threads in the catfish form. do your research first before asking. then if you have a specific debate among info then that would be something that is maybe worth answering.
no one told me this when i started until i talked to a friend who was familiar with forums. so here is your curtousy. check previous threads for the info you want to know before starting a thread.
at the top of each forum/ thread there is a button that says search. use it.

I consider the TSN to be an equally monster catfish as the RTC. They grow very fast and will consume any tankmate of appropriate size.
Is there any catfish that looks cool, that isn't a pig when it comes down to eating and doesn't grow that quick?

Not really you might try an ablino channel cat they aren't messy and grow relatively slow at least by catfish standards

/\ /\ i disagree there are alot of cats out there that are slower in the growth rate. lance cats alot of the smaller pim cats as well as alot of others. if you want a cat that dosent grow stupid fast and wont consume everything in its path look at some of the smaller catfish thay can have real nice patterns in them and wont cost a smal mint to feed
I have a false granulosa catfish and he grows wicked slow. He also doesn't seem yet to be eating everything in his path. Although he's only like 5 inches so there's not much he can eat. Cool fish. Kinda ugly but still cool and will get like 3 feet.
