i'm very sorry to hear about your channa :(

hmmm was there anything in the tank that was stressing it out? i think a fish starts to shed its slime coat when its stressed out...this then lets parasites/infection gain entry into the host's body...

sorry for your loss

thx.. i forget change that water maybe 1 week. maybe the parasite came from the dead body little fish (guppy n platy), cause i give that for my channa diet.. before sick, i put that on one tank with channa gachua, n gachua broke that tail n fin.. so stupid ide!!... grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr......

sorry to hear about the loss mate, what is you waterchange resimge? channa seem to better with less waterchanges, do you have a good filter on the tank, and wash the media in old tank water, also better off not feeding feeder fish as sometimes they habour bacteria, unless you breed your own guppys etc for feeders and know there free from illness, strange how you seem to have lost so many fish,

Hi,sorry for your loss,I totally agree on what scn said and I would add to feed them not only feeders as food!

feeders are always bad idea. unless ofc if you grow them and are sure of their health condition. I don't feed my channa anything that is dead.

Here`s a few things that might help your fishes condition.

1. BUY A FILTER.
2. READ UP ON HOW SNAKEHEADS SHOULDBE KEPT, AND ACT ON IT!!!

I PITY THE FISH YOU KEEP.

Yup, I have to agree with you 100%.
You really should start again with and easy fish to keep like guppies, and leave the big exotic fish to people that give a damn about their upkeep!!!

For anyone who thinks myself and outlander are being harsh, look at the pictures in this thread (read through it too!)

Very sorry to hear about your loss. Now you can wait to move into your new house where you have those bigger tanks you mentioned so you can give your snakeheads the space they need. Chin up.
