grunting toadfish

my lfs calls them freshwater lionfish but do they really make grunting sounds ?

Yes they do! More like a toad. I'VE HEARD THEM UNDERWATER, IN THE OCEAN. hERE'S THE ONE i SAW:

Yes they do! I've heard them "croaking" just like a toad underwater, in the ocean. Here's the fella I heard:

I've caught toadfish while fishing and they sure do make that sound

yes they do. i have one that grunts all the time. usually when he is hungry or if another fish is in his spot he likes.

yup. they even make this sound when going after feeders. especially after the lights are out.
