I know they do contain toxin but can release the toxin into the tank water? Is it safe for me to get contact with the tank water or cleaning the filter media? I just bought my gsp two days ago but I want to make sure how to keeping it safely!

I’m almost sure i’ve also read puffers lose some, if not all their toxin over time due to the diets they eat in nature vs in home aquaria...

This is correct. They get the toxins from algaes as far as I know
