gt 1 week old fry and she has more today!

well my 2 gt's (gold saum) just had there first set of fry a little over a week ago. i removed over half and the half i didnt the other fish ate. well last night i saw them by there rock shimmering and doin the bad fish dance. so i figured it would be soon but not this soon. so now i have the question of when i remove these fry can i put them with the week old fry in a 10 gallon? im going to start cycling the 20 gal this week to put them all in and the 55 i need to reseal for the growout. but will the ten gal work for now? just let me know what you think and i will post pics tomorrow after work as phone pics you cant see the eggs or even the week old fry good. so looks like its time to get the digi out.

i think theyll be fine together there not much difference .. my little male is doing the naughty dance with my twice his size female

Like above poster said they will be fine. A week diff isn't much. If your still scared anything will happen turn the heater off in the 10. If it even has one, low temps will make your fry grow real slow and bump up the temps. when the other fry get into the 10.

it has a heater but i think everything should be fine thanks for the input. just making sure that it was ok

what other fish do you have in the with the gt? if you didnt have any other fish in there could you leave the fry with them?

if they were by themselves i would leave them in longer but i have more fish in there that like little fry so i try to take them out as soon as i can so i dont have alot of beat up other fish and i dont lose as many fry

but also remeber you will eventually need to take them out no matter what cause when its breeding time again they will eat the fry

ah yea, i think i might use them as feeders.
