I was posed with this question;

"Sorry to slam you with questions.....BUT after much googling i've decided i must turn to the expert..........The Green Terror laid eggs about 2 weeks ago...no male in there so they were unfertilized and theyre gone now....guessing she ate them. She has been going nuts trying to attack me through the glass and still guards the area. I tried switching all the crap around in the tank and shes still going nuts. Pretty much leaves the other fish alone while they stay on opposite ends of the tank so thats good at least. The only thing i havent done is a water change bc my friggin syphon broke haha. Is there any other thing i can try to calm this biotch down? Itsbeen a while and I dont want it constantly stressed. I'm going to buy another syphon this weekend and Joe and I are moving too...so hoping that might help."

So I responded with;

"Hmmm I'm going to ask some people for extra advice, but for now I would suggest lowering the temp a bit and maybe keep the lights off until I see if there is a long term solution besides removing her and/or finding her a mate"

So here I am haha... I'm not sure what else to suggest... "She is in a 75 Shes about 5 inches. Theres an Oscar and firemouth in there that are both about 3 inches. She ignores the Firemouth (which i think i sMale) unless it enters the corner where the eggs were. She goes after the Oscar a little but doesnt really attack...just charges and swims away."

Except maybe to the owner's feelings, there's no harm, really, as long as she's not hurting the other fish in the tank. I've seen green terrors (and others) before that rush the glass even toward their owners, who knows why. There's also a chance she'll calm down if she ever gets back out of spawning mode. I've had even angelfish in the past that I could normally hand feed, but would attack my hand in the tank or rush the glass if I was too close to their end of the tank around spawning time.
