Think it will work? Lots of hiding places in big tank. some dithers, pike cichlid and bichir as tankmates.
GT and jewel cichlid?

I have GT's and Jewels, but all are only about 2". Once the Jewels showed all the fish who was in charge, they all got along. It did take some fin nipping though.
I recently added 10 aduolt Jewels to a 300 Gal with Oscars, JDs, GT, etc...
The Oscars tried to eat them at first but the Jewels were far too quick... There is a little bit of nipping and chasing away but it's been several weeks now and no mishaps...
I've come to believe that W African Jewels make nice dithers for SA/CA....

It could definitely work, assuming there is enough space for them. Jewels get along great with SA/CA cichlids of similar temperament IMO
