ok so i have changed my mind and i cannot face getting rid of lois as he is far too owner responsive like my GT and the bright yellow he develops is too intense to give up.
my tank is a 5x2x2. the inhabitants will be:
6 x clown loaches
1 x bristlenose
1 x bulldog/rubbernose plec
1 x mysterious garra (i think but he came by mistake with some dithers and has survuved numerous attempts on his life by my always hungray GT and is now thriving)
4 x rainbow fish (but these may have to go as lois gets bigger)
1 x GT (5" tank boss, firm but fair)
1 x parachromis loisellei (3.5" and i suspect will be born again hard and become tank boss)

question: am I full or do you think i can fit another 6" cichlid and what dithers would survive a full grown parachromis lois?
not cons as my GT really hates them for some reason.
many thanks guys.:)

What filtration do you have on the tank?

2 x 1200ltr/h but this can be upgraded. 1 is half mechanical half bio media and the other is a bio filter

should also mention weekly water changes of 25-40% depending on what i have been feeding that week. lots of protein = bigger water change.
when i feed live crickets i do a water change of 20% twice that week as they create more mess. and my fish stir up lots due to excitement (they go a bit nuts over live crickets).

ok thank you for the input but i may change my dithers as the rainbows are not as good looking as the pics suggested (i had to do mail order for a while).
i thought about tiger barbs but i am open to suggestions.
