hello guys i am new to the site and new to large cichlids. i currently have a 5x2x2 and i have a male GT 5". i was wondering if GT's get along ok with uaru a.?
the reason i ask is i am moving my loisellei out as he is getting beat up by my gold sev and i am worried that my sev will kill him and then i am giving my gold sev away as he is extremely aggressive (once i find a home). the only fish he doesnt bother is my GT who has sorted him out a couple of times.
my GT is very calm but can assert himself if threatened. he just watches other fish and their activities, a bit like a supervisor in a work place. i thought my GT would be the problem with new tankmates but it is my sev, he has damn near killed a male con and hates everything else. so he has to go.
i ask about the uaru as i want to get calmer fish as im sick of having to repair fins and scales with my big boys but i am not allowed to get rid of the GT as the wife loves him.
any other suggestions are also welcome as alternatives to uaru.
