This guy is my first GT but I have to think he is growing slower then average. He started out with a pretty bad case of internal parasites and was probably about 6 months of VERY little growth when I first got him. The last year has been much better to him. He's pushing about 5" now and is about two years old.

Sorry about the pic quality. Everything was taken with my phone.

He still looks a little thin, especially in the last photo. Is he a voracious eater?

Yeah he eats pretty well. I have cut back on the amounts I feed over the last six months cause I had a problem with planeria but yeah he eats a couple good size jumbo pellets a night. Oh and in that last pic he was flared up and showing some aggression toward my Chocolate who is just out of the frame there.

Flared gills would explain why he looks a little lean. Looks good.

turning out to be a pretty nice gold saum

nice looking GT

Nice looking fish, looks like he is growing up very well. I have 3 myself and the first 2 I got started at around 4", now one is over 7" and the other is around 5", the third one I got at around 2.5" and now he is around 6", looking really nice too!

Nice looking GT. Mine doesn't grow very fast either. I got him last december at around 2 inches or so; I think he is past 4 inches now. (thats total length)
