had him for about a week and his fin tips are white. Do they get orange over time or are the white tips there for good? doesnt much matter to me, like him anyways. the little ***hole

There are two types of GT's. Sounds like you have a silver. The Goldsaum is the one that gets the orange edges on the dorsal and tail.
Both types are amazing looking when they get larger.
