Green terror, Firemouth, and the al mighty Pbass.

Can it be done?..say in a 120gal.

All start off young, around 3-4inches.

I was thinking of a all pbass tank, but i really want to set up a south american cichlid tank.

Also, a feeding question.
Will a green terror or firemouth eat feeder fish like the PBass? Cause thats all i buy for now.

Thanks alot.

You should get pellets at least for the GT and FM... It will wrok for a while .... My opinion would be both a veggie pellet and a meaty pellet... Though any labeled "Cichlid pellets" will work..

it can be done..pbass cant stay in a 120 for all its life though..

GT's will take live food just as eagerly as any other larger cichlid, FM's too
some prepared foods should be thrown into the mix, a varied diet, is a healthy diet

The P.bass is a fast grower and Fm from my experience are sLoW.... only prob i see is that the Bass mught attempt to eat the FM or GT.... Is this a grow out tank for the Pbass?

Go with what everyone said above. But I have 1" gt with my pbass who are 4-5" and he's fine. Both eat different food though.

I would recommend that you do not try to get your gt and fm to only eat feeders. The bass will probably only eat feeders, however. In that case, the best thing to do is to set up a tank for your feeders so you can fatten them up with high quality food.

First of all - you say you want an all Pbass tank - That will happen all too soon enough. Every experience I've had with PBass comes with some strife from a fish getting eaten, and they are fond of Cichlids, as you can see, from many posts all over MFK. And yes, PBass grow very quickly - just as with most predatory fish.
You can do it, but don't expect to have 3 fish for very long.
