GT growth rate

I just purchased a Green terror and was wondering how fast it will grow I know there alot of variables, but I just need a general idea. Thanks!

a decent rate like any other cichlid can be achieved ie 1.5 inch a month with water changes etc but mine and others really slow at the 7-8inch.

Green Terrors, with water changes and good feeding still normally grow an inch per two months. Some grow faster though.

They grow slow at first. Once they get around 4" they can get a spurt and hit 7-8" in only a few months. After that, they normally slow down again, growing steadily at about 1" per 2-3 months if your lucky (sometimes 1" a year). A few will have more than one growth spurt and get big.

mine is growing slowly but his color just gets better and better

basically as mentioned by several here slow...you can basically expect the fish to be about 3\4 full grown in about a year or more.

I was just going through my old posts and came across this and realized I agreed with 1.5" a month. I have to go back on that. I would say on average I saw .75" a month and like stated before, slowing down after 8". Sorry for my lack of attention

I hope you're right, mines around 4inchs atm and seems to have grown over the last week even.
