I'm new to raising Green Terrors but i recently purchased one I named "Neon". For the past week or so he has been great he swims all around the tank and I can even feed him from my hands sometimes, but recently they driftwood I added to my tank has been turning my water brown and I tried boiling it but it didnt get all the tannin off so every day to every other day I do a 15% water change, I never add regular tap water I make sure its filtered then I add something to get rid of all chlorine amonia and any other harmful chemicals. But yesterday and today Neon has started laying upright around the bottom of the tank. Is it normal or do could he be too stressed from the fairly constant water changes?

what is the product your adding to remove chlorine?
and you say you use it to remove ammonia too, is your tank filtered by a mature filter?
how much maintenance do you do on the filter and what do you use to clean the bio media?

I use AmQuel+ to make sure the water is ok and I buy new filter cartridges every 3 weeks, the filter is for 10-20g so its fine for that tank
