i have 2 green terrors, one just about 7 in and the other about 1.5 inches. the 7 in boy is housed in a 75 gallon with a pearsei and common pleco. i have a 55 gallon with a Hi fin spotted pleco. i know i can house the lil one in the 55 g. Is it possibe to have another tank mate? if so what would you recommand?

How big do salvini get? i thought about a firmouth but diciede to go for something a lil diffderant.

You could try a pair of escondido, smaller size than the gt.

I find it to be a nice balance. The GT can't bully them cause they will gang up, and the GT can still hold his own easely towards the two.
Mostly they ignore each other completely.

remember that your GT, if male, has the potential to hit 12" and be very aggressive.
in a 55 i would think no cichlid tankmates would be possible for life. a GT, some catfish and dithers would work. but not another cichlid. in the short term it would probably work as long as the young GT didnt get bullied as they are very easily harrassed when small.

in most peoples opinion a 55 is the bare minimum for a GT for life.
