GT ID Please.........

Can one of you all please help me to know just what type of GT, saum, Aequidens or whatever this little guy is. I was never gonna buy these guys but my girlfriends friend just thought that they would look great in her planted tank with her discus and mollies. Thats how I ended up with them and theyve sorta grown on me. They were bought from one of the chain stores and are about 2.5-3'' right now.

Aequidens sp(Gold Saum) and that one looks female to me.

Your girlfriend's friend might run into some issues with that combination. The discus maybe, but the mollies for sure might get a beating once her GT starts to put on size. It's a gamble.

Thats why they are one of my tanks along with a pair of festae, a 6'' crenicichla sveni, 4'' con, and a 6'' distochodus. They are gettin along great and actually growing. Someone bought them for my girlfriend to put in with her discus ($200 worth) and mollies but she (girlfriend) had the presence of mind to know that was a bad idea and gave them to me. I knew that those fish of hers didnt stand a chance, or her plants. Thanks for the replies....

that a small gold saum too me it looks like a young male its hard to tell u need to see more of a side angle to see the fin pattern if his fins are flowing than hes a male a females fins round out and are very short females also dont have as much blue to them down the body
