I'm not sure if it's biologically possible... but I've kept GT & JD together many times and have never had them breed... I've also never seen a GT/JD hybrid so I wouldn't expect it to be possible...
Probably fighting. If you see 2 fish trying to mate of a different species, here's the best advice you can get: separate them.
