I meant don't be too hard on yourself, this rarely happens.I'm not sure about green terrors not jumping. I saw one in a bag getting ready to go into a tank at some shop and it was jumping up and down in the bag. At Petland here the owner told me about one he had jump from his tank to a tank full of smaller fish four tanks over. And then you have those cases of dingbat fish jumping into tanks full of red devils and pacus, lol.
I just hope the one I bought the other day doesn't try to be brave.

brings up something that has been on my mind for a few days. My new to me/used 55 gal doesn't have both tops for it. I got both lights, but they where scary looking, brown for the bulb heat, and didn't work. so I got a 4 foot shop light from walmart and it now hangs about a foot over my tank. I'm wandering if I could use the screen for reptiles on top, but not sure about rust.
