The title says it all. Since about two or three weeks ago, I have not seen my two GTs eat a thing and they are pooping this clear stuff that kind of looks like the inside of an invertebrate. They are acting normal otherwise. I added a couple of fish recently, but they were doing this before the new fish.

This came up in the discus thread, clear, poorly expressed poop usually means intestinal hexamita, use medicated food containing metronidazole. Here is the most complete article that I could find so far.

It includes a recipe if you can't find premade medicated food.
The good news is that with treatment even very sick fish usually recover.

thanks a lot
This started after my blue crayfish died and it sat in the tank for awhile because my roomate was supposed to be taking care of my tanks while I was home for X-mas vacation. Could this be from them eating the crayfish that sat for awhile?

also, do I need to quarantine them? The only thing I have to put them in is a 10 gal. One is about 4" and the other is 3" I dont suppose this will work?

I found a Jungle brand parasite clear that has metronidazole in it, but I can't find the food. I also cant find pure metronidazole to make the food from the article Guppy posted. Will I be OK or is the food absolutely necessary?

10 gal. for a hospital tank is perfectly fine, provided it's properly filtered. Treat the water with some aquarium salt before adding the fish.
