it sound like your fish has a TRUE fungus/bacterial infection !! may sugestion (will not be responsible for loss of fish) would be to check your ammonia level then treat water if nessesary . (ammonia rocks & water changes maybe chemical after you medicate the fish..) treat the fish with mardel's MAROXY as recommended on bottle do a 25% water change or greater if needed try not to exceed half of total volume of tank you still need some good bacteria (yes good bacteria there is good and bad ) mix up a salt solution with aquarium salt follow the package for tank size (as a stress reducer !) and add stress coat to the water when changing the water regularly to keep the fish's slime coat healthy . (p.s. have your buddy cheak his tank pH, ammonia, cloriene etc and comparie to your's this may have started the problem??? and good rule of thumb set up a quarente tank some time soon for new comer's to save your prizes from ill healthtothna said:
