Picked up what was labeled as a "blue acara" yesterday, but it looked exactly like the ones in the tank next to it labeled as GT's. Right now it's about 1.25" eating well and active.

I tried googling but there seems to be more information about differences when they're adults so I'm not sure if I can apply them to juvies.

TIA

if you got it as acARA then beleive it for now.

If it is under 2 inch, Green Terror do not show the orange edge. So it looks like a juvenile GT to me.

It's definitely a young GT. The Blue Acara has no white/orange edge on the tail. The pic is of 3-4" BAs.

Thanks for the input guys. I guess I'll keep it and see if it gets along with my geophagus and polypterus.

Are GTs known fin nipppers?
