I've got a 4'' male terror in a 55. A store near me has a 3.5'' female that I'm thinking of buying for my tank. Wondering what you people think. Is it too risky or can it be done.
The tank also contains a 3.25'' Firemouth and a 6'' L203 pleco.

 I would watch the Firemouth closely......

If they breed, the FM might be toast, have another tank ready for him, Just in case.

IMHO........

The water quality will should get pretty poor reguardless of filtration once they get some size and you won't get healthy growth or filtration, another thing to worry about is if the male decides not to pair with the female and wants the tank to himself, he will destroy the female.
I wouldn't do it w/out a spair tank on hand or a good return policy at your LFS

I don't necessarily agree with the part about the water quality, I mean yea you will probably be pushing it when they are full grown, but its not like they are oscars.

I do however agree on the fact that if that male decides to get rowdy one day, it may be bad news for the female.

They will probably be ok for a while though, gt's grow fairly slow, and if they do pair up and breed, they will grow even slower. Longterm, a 75g would suit a pair well.
