GT sick

My GT has holes in it's head and around the side of it's face and by the gills and there are white things poking out of the holes. One of them became fuzzy but is not anymore. I tried melafix and prazi, seems to b gettin a lil better but what the hell is it and what do I do?

sounds like hole-in-the-head (also called lateral line erosion) ... post a pic if you have one ... and check you nitrate levels, you want to keep them low (<20ppm)

I recently rescued a GT with the same descriptions of holes as yours does. I bought API general cure, it treats HITH. I also maintained water quality for a month by changing 50% water once a week. Start feeding a Variety diet(pellets, Bloodworms,Flakes,and Veggies.) Make sure you STAY on top of your Water quality!. As for the white fuzziness, that sounds more like a fungus. I wouyld just administer the right Meds, Right Diet, and keep water quality at Best. Good Luck. My GT has come around just by those steps. Post some pics.

He is currently not eating and the water quality is spot on...did 30% wc last week and 50% this week, cleaned both filters last week. What other meds should I use, prasi or metro?

Metro. Was he eating before?
