my GT's tail split in half horizontally...................should i be worried or will it grow back?

I would not recommend putting salt in unless you are treating for Ich or such desease. Pick up some melafix and treat with that if you wish. Normally it will heal on its own and nothing is really needed unless it severe.
nah, just let him be, maybe if he is getting bullied, do some switching... It will grow back. I had a blue acara who had more than half his tail bit off by a JD, and it recovered almost completely in a few months. Only bad thing is that when they regrow their tails, it takes a while to get the color back. He was a beautiful dominant male, but after that experience it tooka a while to get his color back.
i had this happen a little while back...healed up fine. mine was much worse too, the fin had a huge chomp out of it
