I've recently raised my tank temps fighting off some ich (that'll teach me to QT, ugh). Anyway it's been a bit over a week and it seems the ich situation is just about over, all the fish are back to normal. Except for my GT. He's not showing any signs of ich, but he's been pretty sluggish since I upped the temps. I've heard the "true GT" A. rivulatus like cooler water, is that true of the common gold saum as well?

What's the temp? I would think if you raised it to say 85 for a week it shouldn't be and issue but 90 for a week could be a prob. I keep mine at around 78.

It's 84-85. I usually keep it around 80.

Gold Saums (GTs) do better at 76-80 degrees. Just lower the temp and do a 30% to 50% water change (up to twice as much as what you are already changing regularly). And give him a week to resettle down.

Thanks. I need to wait until the ich is totally gone, and I usually do 50% weekly anyway, but I just wanted to check if the temp issue was what was bugging him.
