I have two questions but first let me tell you the situation.

I have a male Green Terror that I grew out from about an inch. He is now between 6 and 6.5 inches so I was wanting to breed him. About a week ago someone brought a bag full of GTs to the pet store I work at so, I picked out the two largest and best looking females to see if I could breed them with mine. Thinking he would pair off with one and I could take the other female back, I started the process. Well, it worked better than I thought. I now have two female green terrors with eggs in my tank. They each have claimed one half of the tank however, the male swims freely anywhere he wants for the most part. The girls will flare at him sometimes but that's as far as it goes.

So my first question is, is this normal?

and secondly I think I see a couple spots of ick popping up on one of my fish. Is there anything I can treat the tank with that wont kill the eggs?

I don't know if it is "normal", but good for him :)

to treat the ich, you could try an organic product, like Kordon's Ich*Attack . . . it is what I have used in the past, and might give you a better chance of protecting the eggs (?) than a chemical approach . . . not sure what the salt + heat treatment would do to eggs . . .

I would only treat the ich if it seems like a very bad case until u get fry out. ie When/if it becomes worth risking the eggs. Not a cichlid expert tho.
