I have a green terror that is a juvi and has severe hith. The fish developed hith soon after i purchased him from the lfs. The fish swims and eats ok. His skull is just about showing and is not nice to look at. I have tried for 4 months to cure this fish and I realize it is not going to work I am asking what would some of you do in this situation. I am thinking of euth. the fish.

Yes water is good did weekly water changes am 0 nitrite 0 nitrate 2 ph 7 to 7.4
I used primafix and melifix for awhile and have also added general cure from api
water temp 82 f

Were would I get that from. I think the fish is to far to treat now. He is much worse then the video shows at this point. I could take a pic of what he looks like now if you like. I would have to find the cam and take the pics first though

Then yes, if you think it is too far gone that is an option you may need to consider. Don't flush him or freeze him though. Google : clove oil, euthanize fish. It is a very humane way of euthanizing your fish. Or if you have the stomache for it, you can take a filet knife and cut the head off...

Ok I willl get a pic of what the fish looks like today. I understand that even if I could heal the the fish of hith. The meat or material (don,t know what to call that in a fish) that has rotted away will not come back. Is that correct.
