Hello everyone. I know mixing species is not recommended, and often has horrible results, but I still have a question. I have been reading alot about the white lipped tree frog and the green tree frog, and it seems to me that their care requirements are basically the same. The like temps in the low 70's, very humid, lots of tall plants, pinhead crickets, etc. In this particular case, why COULDN'T I keep these two species together? Poeple keep the same species of frog together, for instance, say someone had 3 dumpy tree frogs in a 55g, and that would be okay. So why couldnt a GTF and white lipped coexist?

I guess you could give it a try. I've never mixed tree frogs before, but I have kept different sized Green Tree Frogs together without any issues. Females get the biggest.

I would also worry that even if the same size they may try to eat each other. Most frogs seem to be stomachs with legs.

I think you would be OK just make sure that you set up a quarintine tank and use it. If one frog carries a bacterial infection it will destroy your colony quickly.

Okay, great! thanks for the advice dudes

Im gonna get the GTF tomorrow and put him in a 5g for quarantine, and I will quarantine the WLTF in the tank itself.
