I haave a male Gt about 8 inches, no hump on head. Last week i bough a female and another male which are about 4 inches(knew this one was a male because it had a huge hump). So i put the new female and male in with the bigger male with no hump, and a day or so later, the newer male with the hump, the hump dissapeared. The bigger male that had no hump still has no hump though. From what i understand is the one with the hump is the more dominent one so why dident the other male gt get a big hump?

There can be a variety of factors in play here: heredity, food quality, water quality, stress, tankmates, etc.

Usually, in the presence of other similar fish a dominant male will get something of a hump in excellent conditions. The size of the hump is largely driven by heredity.

To expect your older fish to develop a hump in ust a day or so isn't realistic. It may grow over time, but you won't know for sure until then.
