alright here we go..i bought this pair of GT's 4 days ago...1st day at night after a couple hours of settling i tried to feed them Hikari cichlid gold floating/sinking both no response , frozen/fresh blood worms..i dont really see them eat it (pair of convicts in tank also) ..or if its even them or the convicts...2nd day same routine nothing..but did notice the female had stringy greenish poop. sometimes white and sometimes its dark brown? so i now 3rd day morning feeding routine..nothing so later that night..around 11pm i decided to a heavy water change about 65% water change added "prime" "prazipro" temp is at a steady 81 degrees

my water parameters are as of today:
Ph = 7.2
Ammonia= 0.25 ppm
Nitrite= 0 ppm
Nitrate 0ppm

if anyone can help me..i spent 3 hours looking in the thread search...no luck

You should have no detectable ammonia or nitrite in an established aquarium. Is this a new set up? If so, I suggest you look up and research the aquarium nitrogen cycle and its effects on fish.;)

the tank is not new i just "moved it" which i had to drain ALL water...and the ammonia testing both 0 and 0.25 look almost the same color so it could be 0..

When you say move and drain? How long did this take as the biological bacteria will start to die of after a couple of hours without water circulation and oxygen. Could explain your readings? You may have killed off your BB and are now going through another cycle? Aside from this though, 4 days is nothing to be to worried about with new fish. Sometimes, they take a little longer to acclimatise and feel comfortable enough to feed.

or maybe im just a little TOO worried..they swim fine.. colors are excellent ...i just dont see them eat much or at all
