Red terrors will out grow the Gts and tend to be more agressive I currently have a female festae about 6 in and my green terror is about 5.5in. have them divided. Most say it won't work but you don't know until you try.

A female festae has so much fire power than even if it is smaller than a male GT, it can easily take it out. Had that happen to me.

You will be ok in that size tank while they are young. But when adult things may will get nasty. The red terrors coming out on top. Shame as they do look good together.

Very nice those festae and iv always loved GTs" that male is very nice and your right in that they do look good together don't they! Are GTs faster growing than Festae? and whot is max size of a GT male?

I would say that festae grow a little faster than GTs. It took my male GT about 4 years to grow from 3" total length to 8-9" total length. My female festae took that long to reach the same length, so no doubt that a male festae would have reached that sooner than a male GT.

I got mine in Oct 2016. He was 2.25-2.5" and now is just shy of 7 inches almost a year later. I expect him to reach over 10" (hoping) in the next year. But we will see how things go.

Here is a fairly recent pic

That's not to slow a growth rate! 4 inch in a year not super slow!
Think a nice male GT will take some beating for colour and shape" not to much $$ and not really aggressive also!
