Hi, I'm looking to buy 2 Guardian 200w Heaters to heat my 125. I was just wondering what kind of experience others have had with them. I don't want to buy a heater that's going to break down in 6 months. I'm lokking for something that will last 3 or more years. Any comments or recommendations are welcome. Thank You.

i don't know anything about the heater u speak of, but i can tell u;
ebo jager and stealth seem to be the most favored here at MFK. i personally like in-line heaters, i recommend Hydors ETH

Well they supposedly are unbreakable, and claim to go through 12 vigorous test including dropping it from 3 feet, and submersing it in water after it reaches full temp. They have them for about $15 each on kenfish.com, so I think I might just try them, and let you guys know. My only concern with them is that hopefully the company didn't consentrate on solely making it in-destructable, and still made it a quality heater.

Let us know how they work. kensfish.com usually sells good stuff.

I just received my heaters today, and now know why they are such a cheap price. They are very well built, and durable heater, but they don't have a thermostat. I guess that's not too bad, I can just adjust them to what my thermometer in the tank say's, and leave it there. I mean how often do you even touch your heater in the first place. All in all it seems like a good deal for a $15 250watt heater. I'll update in a month or two to see how they run.
