Very nice

haha... i got them from a vendor on simplydiscus.com
go check out kenny's discus under the vendor section
probably the best/most professional shipper i have ever encountered

here are some better shots under better lighting
you can see the shapes and colors (kind of blurry).
i'll take better pictures as and when the fish get more used to me :)
right now i am just the guy who keeps trying to get them to eat this crazy salmon/shrimp mixture and tetra bits in between the FBW that they go nuts over

i got two shipments- one had 8 discus and the other had 4
so far it's kind of early to tell because the setup with the 4 discus isn't ideal - i need to change the tank location because the shadows and what not are spooking them a lot. once i get them set up properly i think they will all be ok.

so far discus keeping has been mixed. one aspect that is annoying is that some of them only eat frozen bloodworms, which is kind of annoying considering i spent a lot of money on stuff that they supposedly love to eat. second of all they don't do nearly as much as my CA and SA cichlids, which is good and bad. i don't have to worry about torn fins, fish getting the crap beaten out of them etc. they are pretty peaceful and mellow, which is great :)

overall i am glad i got them because i've always wanted to keep them.

Yeah I can understand your frustration on the foods. And yeah they don't do a whole lot but obviously beautiful fish. I went to a guys house one time that had a bare 75g with bunch of discus/motoro stingray and I remember how awesome it looked. Can't beat the discus for beauty. I'll look forward to photo updates!@ :)
