In my canister filter!! Yes i just found my 12 inch fire eel that has been missing for a month alive and well swimming in my canister... A little scared and a little skinny but looks healthy and ate like a pig as soon as he was back ina tank. I was so positive he had landed on the floor and either my dog got him or he slithered off somewhere to be found whenever i moved that tank. Amazing!

odyssea 700 ....one of those knock off chinese jobs from aquatraders with the uv built in. Ididnt pack it great so it got packed down with like 3 inches of water at the top.

That's awesome! Reminded me when my blemmy in my sw tank went missing for a couple weeks and was in my wet dry filter! Crazy how they adapt so good!

Cool story. I've had them get in hob filters before. But never in a canister.

Pleased to hear you found your fish alive and well.

Is there no barrier over the filter intake? Most come with some sort of plastic grid.

Good to hear man, I wish my palmas palmas would of did the same but I guess not..... just found her an hour ago, just barely got her to(yesterday)

found her in my sump(filter sock)

There is actually....i took the sponge off of it and there was what looked like a normal grated intake but after looking closer (now) the bottom of the intake is open....veey weirdly made. Im going to plug them up today.
