Congrats, is it one of those super awesome Central American versions or is it the South American kind? 
short body fish freak me out. I like short body Poly's though......they look like bulldogs to me.

I like SB poly's, too! It looks more natural on fish that are naturally elongated.

You ae correct.. Paratilapia polleni, from Madagascar. I had one for a few months. About 6 inches or so, moderate aggression. Leaves other fish alone, but won't let himself get picked on. Kept my 3" ( at the time ) Amphilophus Hogaboomorum in line...
