I had noticed increased aggression and territoriality between my Guianacara pair and the rest of the tank but didn't think they were ready to spawn....wrong!

Beautiful Guianacara! Congrats on the spawn.

Congrats! :) They are going to move wigglers around after the eggs hatch. Probably a good time to move them or remove tank mates.

Thanks! Would you move both parents along with the eggs? The eggs also look a bit dark to me--I'm not convinced the male did his job. Do they look normal to you?

Yes the eggs are actually supposed to be dark greenish. One of the many cool things about them :)

I have moved other fish and eggs with success. Just make sure the water parameters match, and don't let the eggs leave water. I usually do it in the middle of the night when they are asleep. No struggle :)
